Brenda has served as the church secretary since August of 2023. She also plays keyboards in the worship services. She has currently been a member of Mammoth since 2018.
Brenda grew up and was saved and baptized at the age of 9 in Hazel Dell Baptist Church where her grandfather, Floyd Cook, was the chairman of deacons as well as the contractor who built the original church in the early 60s. Her mother played the piano and Brenda played the organ all during her high school years.
In 1978, her family moved their membership to Mammoth where there has been a Hall attending since the church began. Her mother continued to play the organ for Mammoth until ill health forced her to retire in 2018. At this time, Brenda, was hired to step into her mother's shoes and she played the old organ until purchasing a new electronic keyboard which she now plays.
She has a strong love for animals and currently has 4 horses, 3 dogs and a cat. In the last two years she has begun barrel racing, which is the fulfillment of a life-long dream.
Brenda has always worked in a secretarial/office role throughout her working career and when the opportunity arose to work for her church, she felt it was God's way of telling her she was in the right place at the right time. She loves her job and feels the best part is being able to minister to and visit with the various church members who drop by weekly. Brenda hopes she is able to continue in her job, both as secretary and keyboardist, for many years to come.
