Chairman of Deacons: Danny Price

Danny Price
Danny Price is the chairman of the deacons at Mammoth Baptist Church, a role he embraces with dedication and faith. He and his wife, Debbie, have been married for 55 wonderful years, and together, they are blessed with two daughters, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Danny's spiritual journey began at Mammoth Baptist Church, where he gave his life to Christ and was baptized at the age of 12. Debbie also accepted Christ and was baptized at the same church. A proud Vietnam veteran, Danny went on to serve his country in a distinguished 32-year career as a Telecommunications Engineer with the U.S. Government. Alongside his professional career, Danny committed to ministry, serving as a Minister of Music for 42 years, leading worship and music across various churches in Oklahoma.
In 2018, Danny was ordained as a deacon at Mammoth Baptist Church, continuing his lifelong service to his home congregation. He is actively involved in the church’s long-range planning and safety teams, as well as the Prime Time ministry, which focuses on the needs of senior adults. Additionally, Danny shares his deep knowledge and passion for the Word of God by teaching an adult Sunday school class.
Danny’s life reflects his deep commitment to his faith, family, and community, and he continues to be a cornerstone of leadership at Mammoth Baptist Church.
Donny Borcherding
Donny and Debbie Borcherding were married on September 1st, 1976. They have four children. Donny is a retired Lt. Col in the Army, in which he served for 30 years. He is retired from Hobart, Inc. OKC.
They have been members of Mammoth Baptist Church for over 40 years, since the early 1980's. Debbie came in view of a letter from First Baptist Church OKC, and Donny was saved and baptized at Mammoth Baptist Church. Donny serves faithfully on several committees within the church. Donny and Debbie both have been involved in our children's ministry, and they were on our Bus ministry for several years. They both look forward to serving Mammoth for many years to come.
Eric Johnson
Eric has been married to his wife, Dasha, for 20 years. They have two children, Abby and Levi. Eric attended Meeker schools and has lived in Meeker his entire life. After high school, Eric has served in the community in the form of being a youth minister for Morning Star Baptist Church for four years, to helping coach little league basketball. He loves to serve his community in whatever way he can and looks forward to what God plans to do through him at Mammoth Baptist Church.
Eric's favorite verse is one that drives all he does: Galatians 6:9 - Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. (NIV)
Ken Miller
Ken and Carol were high school sweethearts and have been married for 63 years. They have been blessed with two children, six grandchildren, and six great grandsons.
Ken accepted Christ as his savior at 12 years old. Carol accepted Christ at age 21. They moved their membership to Fairview Baptist Church in Fairview, Oklahoma and served there for 46 years. Ken was ordained as a deacon and has served in that role for 55 years. Ken has also taught Sunday School since 1970. Ken and Carol moved to Mammoth Baptist in 2012 and continue to teach and serve God here.
Billy Parker
Billy and his wife Sherri have been married for 40 years. After having five children of their own they adopted seven more, and they have five grandchildren. Both Billy and Sherri were saved while attending church in California. They have been at Mammoth for the past three years where Billy teaches one of the children’s Sunday school classes. They both enjoy serving at Mammoth Baptist Church.
Ronnie Peace
Ronnie and his wife Larita have lived in the area for over 22 years and have attended Mammoth Baptist Church for 21 years. They have been married for 49 years and have three children (Brian, Mandie & Jason) with one grandson and one granddaughter. Ronnie graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma in 1981 with a degree in accounting. Ronnie is retired after working over 44 years in commercial construction industry.
Ronnie was ordained as a deacon in April 24, 1988 at First Baptist Church, Jones, OK. Ronnie has the privilege of teaching an adult Sunday School class. Ronnie is involved in the Deacon Family outreach and assists in the Men’s Ministry. Ronnie enjoys serving Mammoth Baptist Church.
Kurt Underwood
Kurt Underwood and his wife Rene' were married May 17th, 1991. They have 2 kids, Lauren and Wyatt and 2 grandchildren.
Kurt came to salvation and was baptized as a youth at camp. He was ordained in 2009 and came to Mammoth Baptist Church in 2020. Kurt teaches a youth Sunday school class and has a heart for outreach.
Outside of church he is an aircraft technician and has a small farm.
Rene' is involved in youth Sunday school and uses her love for cooking serving in hospitality.
Kurt is humbled and thankful for the opportunity to serve this fellowship and is thankful for the impact Mammoth Baptist is having on so many people and families.
Jerry Webb
Jerry and his wife Jean have been married for 54 years. They were blessed with the birth of twin boys, Jason and Jeremy. They have four grandchildren. Jerry retired from the Oklahoma Tax Commission after being employed for 42 years. They have been members of Mammoth Baptist Church since August of 2016.
Jerry and Jean have always lived in the Meeker area. They attended and graduated from Meeker High School. Jerry was saved during Vacation Bible School at Morning Star Baptist Church and Jean was saved at an early age while attending First Baptist Church in Meeker. They attended and were members of First Baptist Church for many years.
Jerry was ordained as a deacon in June of 2018. He is currently teaching the Adult Sunday School class. He is the Facility Coordinator for MBC, serves as a member of the Constitution and Bylaws Team, and a volunteer for the Safety Team.
He is honored and privileged to serve the fellowship of MBC and to work with so many dedicated members.
Dustin Brown
Dustin has lived in Meeker his entire life. He went to Meeker schools K-12. Dustin and his wife, Jennifer, have been married for 16 years in July and have a mini dachshund named Lucy. Dustin recently completed his Master’s of Nursing Science in clinical education. He is a certified pediatric registered nurse and serves as a clinical education specialist with a specialty in pediatric hematology, oncology, and stem cell transplant.
Dustin has been a member of Mammoth Baptist church since he was about 10 years old. Dustin was saved when he was 12 years old. He thought he was saved when he was 9, but quickly realized he went forward because his friends were, and not because the Holy Spirit called him. Shortly after, at the age of 12, God called Dustin to salvation. He has followed His path for his life ever since.
Dustin helps with our Food Pantry ministry, our horse camp, basketball camp, and VBS most years. He leads the long-range planning team and serves on the Men’s Team. Du
stin is a pediatric cancer survivor, and this has shaped his testimony to God’s plan for his life. He is happy to share this journey with anyone who may be interested.
