Mark Wright
Mark and his wife Patricia will celebrate 52 years of marriage this coming April. They have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. He has been involved in ministry since 1974 where he served 6 churches in Texas and Oklahoma as Minister of Music and other roles including Associate Pastor, Youth Minister, Mission Pastor, Media, and Senior Adult Pastor. Mark retired in 2021 after having served at Immanuel Baptist Church in Shawnee for 22 years.
Mark is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University, BA and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, MRE in Fort Worth, Texas. In addition to serving at IBC Shawnee, in Oklahoma, he has served at First Baptist Church, Vinita, and FBC Durant.
Since retirement, Mark has enjoyed continuing to serve other churches as interim music minister and volunteering in Oklahoma Baptist Disaster Relief. He and his wife now serve in the summer months at a Christian camp in Colorado. He has several hobbies which include running, hunting, and motorcycle riding. Mark’s life verse is Galatians 2:20: “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live but Christ who lives within me; and this life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me."
