Kelly Anderson

Minister of Music and Education

Kelly Anderson

Kelly and Robin Anderson were married on July 31st, 1982. They have two daughters, Hillary and Hayley, and five grandchildren. Together, Kelly and Robin are “R and K Players,” formed in 2003 as a venue for jazz music originally intended for background music during various functions. The program has since grown to include primary entertainment. Occasionally, their two daughters will join them in percussion and flute as well as singing. Included in their repertoire is music from the 30’s, 40’s, and 50’s, as well as old Gospel favorites, all done with jazz flavoring. Together, they also play percussion and instruments for the Singing Churchwomen of Oklahoma (both groups) and coach/play percussion for the Oklahoma Student Worship Choir.

Kelly has served as Minister of Music in churches both in Oklahoma and Texas for the past 40 years. He received his Bachelor of Music degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1984 where he majored in Church Music, emphasis in voice with a minor in piano. He has taught voice and guitar over the years and leads workshops and sectionals when needed. He is a long-time member of the Singing Churchmen of Oklahoma, playing saxophone and percussion for the group.

Kelly has taught youth, children, and adults since his freshman year in college. He has taken several education courses through the Texas Baptist Convention and has education experience at each of his previous churches.
